What is Full Time RVing?
What is full time RVing? It is a lifestyle that has been around for a very long time but has only recently become extremely popular. Full Time RVers are people who live in their camper or RV year round. Some of these people have a house or a "home base" that they will go to for short periods of time during the year or that they keep in case they ever want to stop traveling. Most, however, simply have their camper or RV. Full Time RVers are people of any age and many different occupations who choose to live in their camper or RV and travel as they wish. Many travel to a place and settle for a few months before moving on. Some move around constantly, making only short stays at each destination. Some Full Time RVers do something called "workamping". What this means is they do a few hours a week of work for the campground they are staying at and in return they recieve their rent and hookups for free. This can be ideal for people living on a small or fixed income. Full Time RVers with children will generally homeschool their children throughout the year. These kids might actually recieve more education then a traditionally schooled child because of their travel and the people they meet. Full Time RVing has become more popular recently because of it's freedom and because it is a much less expensive lifestlyle. People of all ages are enjoying the freedom of the road. Though this lifestyle is not for everyone, for some it is a dream come true. |
